Homebrew Animoid Species Details

Today has been a day that I will never forget. I've been wandering through the dense jungle for weeks, searching for any sign of a hidden civilization, and finally, I stumbled upon it. I can hardly believe what I saw.

As I made my way down a steep hill, I saw movement from the corner of my eye. At first, I thought it was just an animal, but as I approached, I realized that it was something else entirely. A humanoid figure with a fox's head and body was staring back at me.

My heart racing, I tried to communicate with the creature, and to my surprise, it responded in perfect Common. It introduced itself as an Animoid, a race of beings with a unique blend of animal and human traits that had evolved within the confines of this hidden jungle.

Animoid Traits

Every Animoid is unique, with special magic powers for everyone. However, almost every Animoid shares these traits.

Size

The size of an Animoid is largely determined by the size of the animal it originated from. In general, most Animoids are quite small, but there are exceptions. For instance, an Animoid created from the DNA of a large animal like an elephant or a whale would be much larger in size than an Animoid created from the DNA of a smaller animal like a mouse or a bird. As a general rule, the size of an Animoid is one level up from the original species it was created from. This means that if an Animoid was created from the DNA of a small animal like a rat, it would be slightly larger than a regular rat, but still smaller than an Animoid created from the DNA of a larger animal like a lion or a bear.

Languages

Animoids are an advanced species of humanoid creatures characterized by their ability to communicate verbally using humanoid language. They possess an exceptional cognitive and emotional capacity that allows them to exchange complex information, ideas, and emotions with ease. Species

When creating an Animoid, choose an existing animal and roll a [roll]1d10[/roll] Multiply the animal's stats by the roll. Refer to the Homebrew catalogue if your chosen species does not have a stat block. Remember, all Animoids derive their physical lineage from real animals.

Age

Animoids, being genetically engineered creatures, exhibit varying rates of aging. While the exact rate of aging may differ among different Animoid species, they generally tend to live up to ten times longer than their non-Animoid counterparts. To illustrate, a goat Animoid can live up to 150 years, which is a significantly longer lifespan than that of a non-Animoid goat.
