Homebrew Candlefolk Species Details

Candlefolk are commonly drawn to one another, and create large libraries that host a great amount of knowledge. They are often willing to share their knowledge with those who are friendly or help that particular group of Candlefolk. This race is often known for not just their expansive knowledge of the world around them, but also known for the wisdom that develops as they reach maturity.

Candlefolk often take on different smells depending on their gender. Male candlefolk often possess aromas reminiscent of fruit, while female candlefolk possess aromas that are similar to sweet pastries and candies. The candlefolk choose the color of their flame as they reach maturity and it will remain this color throughout the rest of a candlefolks life. 

Candlefolk Traits

Candlefolk possess a +2 to intelligence as well as a +1 to wisdom due to being natural scholars and, usually, a wise group of individuals.

Wax Body

Candlefolk are able to mold the shape of its body through melting their own wax; however, the shape must remain humanoid in nature.

Fire Resistance

Candlefolk are resistant to fire damage; however, upon taking fire damage they will begin to melt. After enough exposure to heat (DMs discretion) you will be fully melted and will need to take a short rest in order to regain your shape.

Candlelight

Your flame is able to produce a 40ft circle of light around you (20ft inside of magical darkness if it was created using a 4th level spell slot or below.
