Homebrew Cursed Bloodline Species Details

Jujutsu sorcerers have existed for thousands of years. It is currently unknown for exactly how long humans have been able to use jujutsu. Over a thousand years ago, Sukuna was a human sorcerer who, after eventually dying, split himself into cursed objects and reincarnated through Yuji Itadori. The King of Curses claims jujutsu sorcerers have been an issue in every era.

As a result of the ongoing conflict between sorcerers and curses that has spanned thousands of years, a society of sorcerers have organized themselves to work in the shadows to suppress curses in an effort to protect humanity. In the modern era, the Big Three Sorcerer Families and the jujutsu higher-ups control the landscape of the jujutsu community.
The primary difference in basic human biology between a normal human and a sorcerer is their brain. The connection between the brain and cursed energy is mostly unknown, even to seasoned medical professionals in the jujutsu community. Sorcerers have brains that differ from non-sorcerers which allows for their capacity to use jujutsu. Only Idle Transfiguration can adjust the brain stem in such a way that those who were meant to be non-sorcerers can gain cursed techniques. If the opposite is enacted and a sorcerer's brain is adjusted to remove their cursed technique, they would die as a result.

Cursed Bloodline Traits

Ability Score Increase: Your Charisma score increases by 2, reflecting the inherent magical nature and charisma often associated with sorcerers. Dark Resilience: You have advantage on saving throws against being frightened, reflecting your exposure to curses and dark supernatural forces. Cursed Power: You are proficient in the Arcana skill, and you know one cantrip of your choice from the sorcerer spell list. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for it. Sorcerous Origin: At 1st level, choose a sorcerous origin that represents the nature of your cursed bloodline. This could be a "Cursed Ancestor," "Dark Incantations," or any other origin that fits the theme of your character. Cursed Sight: You have advantage on saving throws against spells and effects that would alter your perception or senses, such as illusions or mind-influencing spells, due to your familiarity with curses and supernatural phenomena.
