Homebrew Alacer - Tree Folk Species Details

A race born from the will of gods, imbuing the living wood with an element of the universe. With having a close connection to plant life the Alacer uses them to their full advantage, as do the plant life with the Alacer. seen as guardians and great adventures, most Alacer are clerics or paladin, worshiping the beings granting them life. Being very small in number, means that Alacer lack a common social circle with their other race, it is actually fairly common that Alacer will never see another of their race in it's lifetime. Most Tree Folk will be sent on a mission of sorts, to accomplish for their god or t fix something of great need, regardless, Alacer are restless beings, always getting one root closer to it's goal.

Alacer have fairly short memories, remembering the importance to a detailed plan, but will forget the finer detail and stumble the longer it has to remember.  

A typical Tree Folk life span is 300 years, where they then turn into a normal tree

Being once raised by the plant life around you, you can still speak to them, not just trees.

Ability Score Increase

When determining your character’s ability scores, increase one score by 2 and increase a different score by 1. Follow this rule regardless of the method you use to determine the scores, such as rolling or point buy. The “Quick Build” section for your character’s class offers suggestions on which scores to increase. You can follow those suggestions or ignore them, but you can’t raise any of your scores above 20.

New Growth

A sudden urge rushes through your bark as life calls out your name, a fragment of yourself now pulls itself from your being. A smaller version of yourself now looks to you for guidance and waits for your command as you are it's parent.
