Homebrew Chiroptari Species Details
The Duergar patrouille walks along the cliffs of the giant ravines that slash through the ground of the Underdark. They come across a small space between the giant mushrooms where a Cloaker lays on the ground, flapping with its wings but the Duergar do not wait long before one of them pierces his Spear into the Head of the Monster. It was badly wounded, tho there are no real predators in such big cave parts of the Underdark that could wound a Cloaker this bad. It has so many marks on his body from bites and claw-like attacks. Even the Duergar have never seen something like this before.
Chiroptari or Batfolk to others is a race comepletely unknown to the overworld and even the underdark does not know much of them. They mostly live in the biggest caverns and always out of view for the creatures living in the underdark. They live on the ceiling. They live there many centuries and do everything to let other creatures belive they dont even exist. Due to that, many races dont even have a clue what they are when they meet them for the first time.
It is to note that because of there lifestyle, they mostly seem very different from each other if they would meet in different caverns. Some of them seem more humanoid then others, have better eyesight or generally have a different shape or form.
