Homebrew Displacer Beastfolk Species Details

With deep black fur and two tentacles. Many Displacer Beastfolk will wear cloaks and shawls, hiding their tentacles from the public eye, them often being disturbing and hideous to those not familiar with them. This has caused them to often hide in the tunnels that have been constructed throughout the years, having meetings in them and using them to safely travel without being in the public eye.

Displacer Beastfolk Traits

As a mix of a displacer beast and a beast folk you're able to weave in abilities of your displacing ancestors.

Displacer's Prowl

Due to your more animalistic nature, you're able to go onto all fours, doubling the speed that you can move for a brief period. Though, you cannot hold onto weapons while crawling due to your hands being on the floor. Your tentacles also cannot hold your weapons and items for you, as they will be pressed to your body.

Tentacles Fright

When you show your tentacles people often turn and sneer, either gawking at your visage or turning away in shame. Your tentacles make you appalling, but with enough time spent around you with your tentacles out, even the most common of people will turn to be okay with it. If a creature spends a week with you while you have your tentacles out for at least half the day, they will become immune to the fright, cancelling both advantage and disadvantage as they finally accept you for you.

Darkvision

Due to your feline like characteristics, you have darkvision within 60ft of yourself.

Displacer's Cunning
