Homebrew Bufflin Species Details

The bufflin race is one facing total extinction, having been sentenced to death by their piglin neighbors. What few survivors there are have been found hiding in the Overworld having been thankfully immune to zombification. However this as an uncommon trait, has ment the populace can never recover, and over years will slowly dwindle to nothing. This race formerly lived in the Nethers "warped forests". Tell tale signs of bufflin occupation in the Overworld would be warped fungus spreading across the ground in a heavily forested area. The bufflin will to survive has led to the few who live growing sturdy with time, and those sturdy few continue to try and find a way for their people to return home to the Nether where they can repopulate.

Adrenaline Rush

You can take the Dash action as a bonus action. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. Whenever you use this trait, you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus.

Darkvision

You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.

Vegetarian

As a herbivore species, you can't properly digest meats. For your meals you require leafy greens, mushrooms & berries.

Battering Ram

Your bufflin horns allow you to make a headbutt attack on any creature within 5 ft of you.

Relentless Endurance

When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. Once you use this trait, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
