Homebrew AID Ghoul Species Details

This is a D&D beyond homebrew recreation of Blaine Simple’s Anime Into D&D Content. I’d suggest you buy that before using this homebrew

AID Ghoul Traits

Ghouls are a cannibalistic race of human-like monsters. Their intelligence and physical features match completely to their human counterparts, with inner biology, diet, and mentality being the only differences

Languages.

You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.

Ghoulish Nature

You cannot consume anything but humanoid meat, plain water, and a single nonmagical beverage of your choice (Chosen during character creation). All other consumables ingested cause a painful reflux which inflicts 1 level of exhaustion

For reference, you can fully consume the flesh of an average mature human in 1 day, satiating you for a week. You gain 1 level of exhaustion for every day not satiated. Meat you consume is quickly digested, allowing you to eat without ever getting full.

If you possess 3 or more levels of exhaustion due to hunger, you lose control of yourself and are struck by a blinding desire to eat humanoid flesh. You are controlled by the DM until your hunger related exhaustion is lower than 3.

Hunter Sense

You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell, and can always tell the difference between a human and a ghoul.

Ability Score Increase

You gain a +2 in Strength, & a +1 in Dexterity. Alternatively you can use the optional rules to gain a +2 & +1 in any ability scores, or three +1 ASI increases.

Predator Weapon

As a bonus action you can summon a blood red weapon known as a kagune and turn your eyes into black voids with red irises. These features last for 1 minute or until you end them both as a bonus action.

Your kagune is a natural melee weapon that grows from your body with a range of 10ft. It counts as a simple melee weapon for you, and you add your Strength modifier to the attack and damage rolls when you attack with it, as normal.

During character creation, choose between bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage (This cannot be changed later). On a hit with your kagune, you deal 2d4 damage of the chosen type.

Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest

At level 3, your kagune's damage dice increase to 2d6. You can also choose an enhancement for it:

Elongated Your kagune has a melee range of 15 feet.

Pushing Your kagune pushes creatures hit 5 feet away from you.

Pulling Your kagune pulls creatures hit 5 feet towards you.
