Homebrew Displacer Kind Species Details

... Only a handful of people has seen one, most Tabaxi had heard of a friend who swears they know other Tabaxi who have given birth to a Displacer. But I, my friend, I have met one. She was a mercenary. I worked with her a couple of years, the job was nothing exceptional by itself, but she was. She was 6 feet tall, but with four arms and tentacles, she was an impressive sight. Most who saw her feared her, but I knew there was more to her than just strength. And that if she was on my side, we'd be just fine...

The Displacer Kind are humanoid creatures that share characteristics with the fey creature "Displacer Beast". Born from Tabaxi parents, their cat folk heritage is often ignored in favor of their fey heritage. Four arms, two tentacles, a tail, and feline features, a set of traits easily related to a monstrosity. Despite the beliefs of the commoners, a Displacer Kind is no more Evil than any other Tabaxi.

Bad Omen

A Displacer Kind is born when a Tabaxi has been in contact with the Feywild and/or fey magic by an extensive period of time. From there on, there exists a possibility to give birth to a Displacer Kind. Those children will be born with a mind and a soul of a Tabaxi and will not inherit the blood thirst of the beasts they receive their name. Nonetheless, many see the birth of a Displacer Kind as a curse and a danger to a community, marginalizing the child and those who decide to support them.

Nomadic Warriors

Most Displacer Kind have none or little regard for the place they were born, abandoning it the moment they consider all their deals close. They prefer a nomadic life where the physical abilities are rewarded; few are the Displacer Kind who find a place they can truly call home. Most die in battle at, by their lifespan, a young age.
