Homebrew Armirakk Species Details
"All men ... are NOT created equal! Some are born swifter afoot, some with greater beauty, some are born into poverty and others born sick and feeble. Both in birth and upbringing, in sheer scope of ability every creature is inherently different; Yes that is why people discriminate against one another, which is why there is struggle, competition and the unfaltering march of progress. Inequality is not wrong, equality is. What of the union which made equality a right? Rabble politics by a popularity contest. The Federation with its equal distribution of wealth? A nation of lazy dullards. But not our beloved people, we fight, we compete, evolution is continuous. We alone moves forward, advancing steadily into the future. Even the death of my son, Clovis, demonstrates our unswerving commitment to progress. We will fight on, we shall struggle, compete, plunder and dominate, and in the end, the future shall be ours. ALL HAIL"
—Spartan 16, During the Funeral of the Crown Prince
The Armiraak people have existed in conflict in stories as old as time itself; a culture that has developed around the technology of it's age, these people have been called vikings, bandits, warriors and many more names throughout history, and throughout different iterations of their development as a people. Their culture is warlike; taking over civilizations, using them to make their technology, homes and wealth, and then raising their young to eventually go our further and push onto new lands for the same purpose.
Warriors of Legend
The Armirakk are bred and designed to fight, and as such make for great adventurers, assassins, mercenaries and soldiers. They often rely on other races for food, lodging, money and logistics, either by force, or by mutual interest. Most Armirakk do not expect to see old age; seeing it as a sign of cowardice to have survived, or perhaps laziness.
Armirakk Personality
The typical Armirakk shows little emotion. Many follow the culture deeply, though romantics are a part of that culture. Passing on your genes is a mark of great respect, and Armirakk women are treated with nothing but respect.
In fact, the idea of making armor purely for the look of it is quite popular to Armirakk men and women especially; they believe that efficiency and morale are linked close to one another.
Quirks
Armirakk often display antisocial personality traits or at the very least, tend to stick to people who think like them, given their conquering habits. The Armirakk Quirks table contains example quirks.
