Homebrew DETERMINATION SOUL Bearer Species Details
The DETERMINATION SOUL is the strongest and rarest SOUL of the seven. The DETERMINATION SOUL is able to conjure magical weapons and persist even after death through sheer will. DETERMINATION’s ability to be controlled solely through willpower means that it essentially has endless power as long as the user is DETERMINED enough to do so, and is immune to any and all effects that their DETERMINATION is strong enough to allow them to persist through. Those in possession of a DETERMINATION SOUL have no limit to their possibilities. It is extremely unlikely for two DETERMINATION SOULs to exist at once.
Credits so Camila Cuevas, who inspired these creations.
DETERMINATION SOUL Bearer Traits
❤️Ability Score Increase
Your Constitution score and a score of your choice both increase by 2.
Limitless SOUL
You have proficiency in Constitution Ability Checks and Saving Throws. Additionally, you may become proficient with two skills of your choice.
Languages
You know Common, Undercommon, and one other language of your choice.
Stay DETERMINED
At the 3rd level, you gain access to DETERMINATION Dice.
- You start off with 3 DETERMINATION Dice, which is a d6, and you gain one every 2 levels. When you roll a DETERMINATION Die, you may choose to add the roll to any dice you wish. The roll must be added after the effect is revealed but before it is applied. You can also lend a die, however, if the recipient’s race is not Human they must make a saving throw against your class save DC. If they succeed they may use the dice freely, on a failed save, they take damage equal to 1/3 of your max hp (rounded up) and you lose the die.
- You may also choose to subtract the roll from any enemy’s roll you choose. You must both roll a Constitution save, if the enemy’s roll is higher, they may keep their roll and you lose the dice. If you roll higher, the enemy must subtract the roll from theirs.
- The user regains a die for each enemy killed. This rule does not allow them to exceed their current maximum.
But it refused.
The user may spend 1 DETERMINATION Die to resist any harmful effect against it, i.e. damage, status effects, and death itself. The DM must choose the required save in order to do so (the highest possible save being 6).
Aura
Every SOUL emits an aura when it has been refined. Starting at the 3rd level, a SOUL can use its bonus action to add its proficiency bonus to its AC. The DETERMINATION SOUL can do so as a reaction and it resets every short rest for a DETERMINATION SOUL.
