Homebrew Aímarra Species Details

Divine Bloodline

Aímarra were created by a deity known as Yo’rohnmaß, who grants life to planets in far off places. He gifted the hollow planet Dellore the Aímarra and the Arimau. Yo’rohnmaß wanted Aímarra to share his likeness, growing horns either on the sides or the middle of their heads. He granted each one the ability to more draconic forms, in the exchange for extreme pain. The pain is distressing in the moment but is forgotten as soon as their transformation is complete. Yo’rohnmaß then became their emperor, ruling them for 120 years until going off to other planets to give them life. In his reign he was referred to as Emperor Yenji. From then on, Yūkoku was ruled by his royal children.

Inclusion of Foreigners

The Aímarra are obsessed with foreigners, some take it to a condescending degree. They may love a foreigner at first, but the hard part is trying to move there, or marry into a traditional Aímarra family. Aímarra are prone to perfectionism and a foreigner must be “perfect” in the eyes of in-laws. No foreigner is outwardly shunned but there is subtext insisting that they do not belong.

Royal Hierarchy and Religion

In Yūkoku, the social hierarchy goes as follows: The top is Emperor Yenji, below that is his family (wife, children, etc). Below Yenji’s family are the elites: those who are either extremely skilled at something, or have moved their way up in rank by marrying into a skilled family. Below that are, in a sense, the “working class”, those of which are not royal and are not considered elite by any means. At the bottom are those shunned by society for doing wrong.

The Aímarra people worship Yo’rohnmaß, as he is their creator and extremely powerful. Yo’rohnmaß does insist they don’t copy him or do everything they think he “wants them to do” but do what their hearts desire, there are no sins, as he accepts life as imperfect. This does not stop the Aímarra from perfectionist view points as it is harder to see in shades of grey when it is so tempting to see in black and white.

Aímarra Names

The Aímarra have Eastern Asian and Southeastern Asian inspired names, whether it be Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, Indonesian, Vietnamese, etc: since Yo’rohnmaß had visited East Asia in a human form.

MET WITH FRIGHT

Ignorant people tend to be scared of Aímarra, especially when in their Draconic form. The red skin, sharp teeth, and horns don’t seem as appealing to outsiders. At first glance, any Aímarra may seem to be scary, but when gotten to know, most Aímarra become as threatening as a baby duck, unless you’re the enemy of said Aímarra.
