Homebrew Crystal Tiefling Species Details
In this world, tieflings are not the unholy descendants of demons and devils, but rather the much ignored offspring of the earth giants of old and humanoids. They show their heritage through their crystal horns; each crystal type is an indicator of a different ancestor giant. Many of the rarer gems, such as diamond, ruby, and emerald, scorn their less rare cousins, who are more likely to have horns of quartz, topaz, peridot, and tourmaline. This rivalry has made some tieflings resentful, but many are content to stay among those of similar gem types.
Crystal Tiefling Traits
Tieflings share certain racial traits as a result of their giant ancestry.Ability Score Increase
Your Wisdom score increases by 1, your Dexterity score decreases by 1, and your Strength score increases by 2.
Age
Tieflings mature at the same rate as humans but live a few years longer.
Size
Tieflings are about the same size and build as goliaths. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Tremorsense
Thanks to your giant heritage, you have the ability to sense vibrations. You are sensitive to vibrations in the ground and can automatically pinpoint the location of anything that is in contact with the ground. When you can't see the creature, you still have disadvantage on attacks.
Giant Resistance
You have resistance to piercing damage.
Earthen Legacy
You know the mold earth cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the earthbind spell as a 2nd-level spell. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the erupting earth spell. Strength is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and Infernal.
