Homebrew Tonberry Species Details
Sneaky beings that slowly creep through the darkness carrying knives and lanterns. Their incessant, innocent stare stabs through opponents, pushing them over the brink of despair.
Tonberries are small, usually no taller than three feet, although some games feature giant variants. They have green skin, round heads with small snouts, yellow eyes and a fish tail. They typically wear a hooded robe, wield knives and carry lanterns.
Tonberry Traits
Your tonberry character has certain characteristics in common with all other tonberries.Ability Score Increase
Your Dexterity score increases by 1 and your Charisma score increases by 2.
Age
Tonberries mature much faster than humans do, and most are expected to reach maturity by around age 4. They can live to almost 40 years.
Alignment
Tonberries are most often lawful evil. They are kings, masters, knights, dons, guards, clergy, or chefs.
Size
Tonberries are usually no taller than 3 feet and average about 35 pounds. Your size is Small.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
Darkvision
Accustomed to life underground, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Once per turn, when you attack with a dagger, you can deal the maximum damage on the weapon's damage dice.
Karma
When you take damage from another creature, you can use your reaction to deal necrotic damage to that creature. The damage is equal to half your level, rounded up.
