Homebrew Boreani Species Details
Boreani are froglike humanoids found in rain forests and tropical jungles. They are generally passive by nature and do not exhibit aggression unless threatened or when protecting something or someone of importance.
Tree-Dwelling Amphibians. Boreani live in trees and prefer shade and humid to semi-humid environments. They are excellent climbers that can scale even the most difficult tree with ease. About three months after hatching, a Boreanis tadpole takes on the shape of an adult. It takes another six to nine months for a Boreanis juvenile to reach maturity. Their main diet consists of insects and any creature small enough to fit into its mouth. The Boreani are loners by nature outside of their own society and do not commonly interact with other races unless necessary.
Naturally Toxic. A Boreanis secretes a substance on their skin that is harmless to them but can be an irritant to another creature's eyes.
Camoflauge Skin. A Boreanis can change the color of its skin to match its environment as a defense mechanism against would-be threats.
