Homebrew Crucible Knight Species Details

Crucible Armor

The Crucible Knights are never seen without their armor, and have remained 100% anonymous. Some wonder if there is even a physical body under their plates.

The armor donned by the knights depends on their commander. If it was Ordovis, then their armor is part of their arsenal, having axe blades built into various pieces of the armor. This Axe armor is extremely effective at offense and defense. If their commander was Siluris, then the armor is horn-themed and dons a cape and a crown of horns atop the helmet. These knights lack the offensive capabilities of the Axe armor, but can more than make up for it, as Crucible Knights are very mobile.

Regardless of commander, all Crucible Knight armor has a distinct copper-tint, and is adorned with many root-like engravings, signifying their allegiance to the Erdtree and the Primordial Crucible at it's roots.

Aspects of the Crucible

The Crucible Knights were trained ancient battle arts in the primordial crucible, in the roots of the Erdtree. These ancient arts are called Aspects of the Crucible. There are 3 major Aspects of the Crucible, along with one passive Aspect. The passive Aspect is Wings of the Crucible. The Wings of the Crucible are a set of holy wings, composed entirely of golden light, which can be used by the knights for immense mobility. They can quickly fly and dash in any direction, and when not used, they simply vanish and can be reactivated at any time. The main 3 Aspects are Horns, Breath, and Tail. Horns summons a large holy horn on the shoulder of the knight, which can be used for shoulder bashing. The Breath Aspect summons a large pouch of flame under the knight's throat which can be used to spew fire over a large area while advancing forward. The Tail Aspect gives the knight a Scorpion-style tail which can do large sweeping attacks to help deal with enemies behind the knight. All of these Aspects are used on-command by the Knights, and vanish after being used until they are needed next. They all share the appearance of the wings, glowing a holy golden light.

Origins

The 16 Crucible Knights were originally the soldiers under Godfrey, first Elden Lord. Now that he is gone, they roam the Lands Between, usually solo, to protect those in need. They are earnest protectors, and will use their vast skills to make sure that whatever they are defending is unharmed. They are Humanoid in origin and are around 7-8 feet tall, always adorned with copper-tinted Crucible Armor. Only 2 Crucible Knights have public names. Ordovis and Siluris. They are commanders, and the other 14 resemble them closely (there are 7 knights under each's command)
