Desert Goblin (YOUR D&D) Traits

Desert Goblin Traits

Ability Increases

Increase one ability score by 1 and another by 2.

Desert Wanderer

Your time in the desert with its creatures has inured you to some of its dangers. You have resistance to fire and poison damage.

Darkvision

You are accustomed to walking the desert at night after it has cooled. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and can see in darkness at that same distance as if it were dim light.

Artificer's Lore

Whenever you roll an Intelligence (History) check related to magical items, alchemical objects, or technological devices you can add twice your proficiency bonus instead of any proficiency bonus you would normally apply.

Goblin Tinkering

You have proficiency with artisan tools (tinker's tools). Using those tools, you can spend 1 hour and 10 gp worth of materials to construct a tech device. You can use your action to dismantle this device; at that time, you can reclaim the materials used to create it. You can have up to three such devices active at a time. When you create a device, choose one of the following options:

Sonic screwdriver. This device can be used in place of tinker's tools for any check that requires them, it can also be used as a dagger without the thrown (range 20/60) property. You can only have 1 of these devices at a time.

Firework. The device has a range of 90 feet and explodes, creating a burst of color. Creatures in a 5 foot radius of the explosion take 1 force damage and must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be pushed 5 feet. The device is destroyed after use, and its materials cannot be reclaimed.

Fire Starter. The device produces a miniature flame, which you can use to light a candle, torch, or campfire. Using the device requires your action.

Cybernetic replacement (5th level, costs 50GP). You can create a cybernetic replacement to a limb or body part. The cybernetic must be attuned to a creature in order to function, but does not count towards the creature's attunement maximum. While this item is attuned to a creature, it does not count towards your maximum number of devices.

- At your DM's discretion, you may make other objects with effects similar in power to these. The Prestidigitation cantrip is a good baseline for such effects.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common, Goblin, and one other language of your choice.
