Homebrew Desmocama Species Details

The desmocama are bat like humanoids that dwell in caves or in the middledark. They hide amongst the shadows waiting for a lone stragglers or foolish adventures to capture. What the person hears before they sweep down is a click that echoes all around them. Captured victims are flown down to their temples and are sacrificed to Camazotz-lord of the desmocama-which in return provides them fire. Desmocama are agile with their nimble bodies but prefer to always be in the air or hanging from above.  Usually the desmocama are considered evil for their religion but a few do break away from the colony and are shunned if they ever return. A desmocama can leave the cave during the day but prefer the night more.

What a person from below would see is a brown furry humanoid creature with a 5 foot wingspan, large sharp fangs, a leaf like nose, and thin hands and legs. When standing they hunch over with their chest sticking into itself like they are trying to not be seen.
