Homebrew Ba-rat Species Details
Ba-Rats are the result of a mysterious mutation that occurred when common cave bats mingled with a population of rat-folk dwelling in underground caverns. Over time, these two species intertwined, giving rise to a new hybrid race known as Ba-Rats. They inherited the bat's nocturnal instincts and echolocation abilities, as well as the rat's resourcefulness and adaptability.
Despite facing initial skepticism and prejudice from other races, Ba-Rats quickly proved their worth with their exceptional agility, sharp senses, and knack for exploration. They are often found in bustling cities, where their skills are highly sought after for tasks such as scouting, espionage, and reconnaissance. Ba-Rats are fiercely independent and value their freedom, but they also form strong bonds with those they trust, making them loyal companions and reliable allies.

Size
Size. Ba-Rats are similar in size to humans, but they tend to be leaner and lighter due to their bat-like features. Your size is Medium.

Accustomed to living in dimly lit environments, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Echolocation
You have the ability to use echolocation to sense your surroundings. As an action, you can emit a series of high-pitched sounds and listen for the echoes to determine the presence and location of objects or creatures within 60 feet of you that aren't behind total cover. This ability can't penetrate barriers of magical silence, and you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Posted Mar 7, 2024already finding issues with the ability score increases, if you plan to use this face you might wanna set them manually till i find a solution in my smooth brain
