Homebrew Aposstle Species Details
Aposstles are a marsupial opossum race with the ability to use their body as a shield by inflating their torso. The purpose of an Aposstle is simple: Become a knight. Similar to holy knights who are trained at a young age to protect their king or queen, Aposstles are taught to become lifelong servants to the most important, the destined, or the wealthiest. There are even crude folktales of nobles who would hire them as status figures just to boast between peers. Training to become worthy enough to be knighted as an Aposstle takes nearly the entirety of a youth’s childhood and teenagehood. Kingdoms and states are lucky to get multiple of these powerful knights as their loyalty is unwavering and their juggernaut and bodyguard capabilities are unmatched.
