Homebrew Wooden Construct Species Details

In the worlds where the boundaries between man and machine blur, the clockwork constructs stand as a testament to the ingenuity and craftsmanship of its people. These sentient beings are not born of flesh and blood but crafted with precision and imbued with arcane vitality. Their existence raises questions about the nature of consciousness and the limitless potential of invention.

Constructs are mechanical beings crafted with intricate, often clockwork-like machinery, resembling humanoid forms. They can be made of various materials, such as brass, steel, or enchanted alloys, though this variation is made of wood or enchanted wood. Their bodies are commonly adorned with elaborate gears, cogs, or glowing runes that emit a soft, ethereal light. Clockwork constructs often have humanoid faces with expressive eyes and mouths.

They possess consciousness, intelligence, and emotions, much like humans. Their minds are powered by the arcane energies that animate them. Despite their mechanical nature, constructs display diverse personalities, from introspective and analytical to passionate and artistic. Constructs can replicate certain aspects of life, such as eating, drinking, and even sleeping to integrate with organic societies.
