The Algastorian race evolved from fey (who ranged from 3" to 5" to 3' to 5') to the strong, tall, bulky, muscular physique that they are known for. Algastora reach their "mature" height of 7' 6" early on in their lives, roughly at the age of 200 years old. Their "mature" weight is roughly 450 pounds, their weight is almost all muscle which allows for a very cut physique. Despite having a cut physique they are very bulky, that 400 pounds of muscle has to go somewhere and it goes out, creating very broad shoulders and very thick legs.

The Algastora live close to a millennium and a half and although they are considered "physically mature" at the age of 200 years they are considered mentally mature when they reach the bright age of 700 years old, which is when they leave the icy caves of Stygia to find a mate.  Algastora typically return to the caves with their mate centuries after they leave, where they live the remainder of their lives creating a family and passing down their attained wisdom and the teachings of the previous generation. The Algastorian race is slow when it comes to gaining population as one generation is considered to be 1,200 years.

As Algastora live the greater portion of their lives in the caves under stygia they developed exquisite eye site. This is until they started to spend the majority of their life researching and creating new magic, over the past thousands of years their eye sight has degraded to the bear minimum (30 Dark Vision). 

The Algastorian race is a very proud race

As a result of being descendants of the Fey Algastora can speak celestial, and as they leave the Stygia Caves for mating purposes they have learned to speak common.

The Algastorian race is well known for being extremely hearty and Tolerant to all damage types except fire. They are also know for being immune to most diseases. This mostly is a result of high health and resistance to cold.

The Algastora have been researching magical spells, cantrips and ways of using magic for hundreds of millennia. As a result they have been biased towards their environments arcana which is cold. They have created and perfected spells that other races have learned how to use. One of these spells if Ray of Frost, this was one of the earliest spells the Algastora developed.
