Homebrew Dragon-blooded Aasimar Variant Species Details

Mixed magical bloodlines clashed when you were born. Your inherited celestial and draconic bloodlines only manifested physically for you. 

In lieu of being able to be a sorcerer, you have permanent wings at level 1.

Draconic Mutation 

You are an curious anomaly. When celestial and draconic bloodlines joined within you, it manifested unusually and only in physical ways. You cannot wield the magic in your blood, but you always have wings.

While you still resemble a human in many ways, you have scales on your body and possibly a metallic sheen to your hair. Your eyes may also manifest in ways that highlight either your dragon or celestial ancestry. Despite the dragon attributes, you still have the other worldly beauty typical of Aasimar. 

The wings of these hybrids often favor the bat-like skeletal appearance of dragons, but they can often also have feathers, sometimes nearly covered in feathers or mearly as accents. Sometimes the feathers come and go. 

Due to the rarity of these genetic manifestations, the permanent wings are always a surprise,  whether you were born with them or the wings grew when you began to mature. Therefore these individuals don't have a culture of their own and would reflect the community that they were born into.

Your wisdom score increases by 2, and your charisma score increases by 1.

Age

You age at the normal rate of Aasimar, similar to humans but with a longer life expectancy. 

Alignment

Your Aasimar ancestry pushes you toward good. If your dragon ancestor was metallic, then you are even more inclined toward good; but if that ancestry was chromatic, then you might be more inclined towards neutrality.

Size

Your size is Medium, often between 6' and 7' in height. 

Speed

Your base walking speed is 25 feet.

Flight

You have a flying speed of 50 feet. To use this speed, you can’t be wearing heavy armor.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common, Celestial, and Draconic.

Draconic Ancestry

Your Dragon blood provides resistances based on the color of your Draconic ancestor.

Angelic Ancestry

Your celestial ancestry provides resistance to radiant damage.
