Slender and Graceful

Sharp, analytical faces that often reflect their intense focus and intellectual pursuits. They typically have piercing eyes that convey intelligence and curiosity, along with features that exude a sense of precision and determination. Blues often wear expressions of concentration or contemplation as they delve into their scientific research and technological endeavors.

They are slightly shorter than humans, ranging from well under 5 feet tall to just over 6 feet. They are more slender, weighing only 100 to 145 pounds. Males and females are about the same height, and males are only marginally heavier than females.

A Timeless Perspective

Blues possess a keen analytical mind and a deep understanding of complex systems, making them valuable contributors to society's advancement and innovation. They are often tasked with conducting research, analyzing data, and developing new technologies to benefit the Gold-dominated society. 

Though their lifespans are comparable to most other mid-colors, the work of a blue can always be picked up thanks to their deep connection to the net. 

Hidden Woodland Realms

Most elves dwell in small forest villages hidden among the trees. Elves hunt game, gather food, and grow vegetables, and their skill and magic allow them to support themselves without the need for clearing and plowing land. They are talented artisans crafting finely worked clothes and art objects. Their contact with outsiders is usually limited, though a few elves make a good living by trading crafted items for metals (which they have no interest in mining).

Elves encountered outside their own lands are commonly traveling minstrels, artists, or sages. Human nobles compete for the services of elf instructors to teach swordplay or magic to their children.

Exploration and Adventure

Raised learning complex physics and mathematics required for spaceflight from a very young age and it is not uncommon for a fully matured Blue to hold multiple PhDs in topics such as Astrophysics, Quantum Mathematics, and Geometry. They have digits on their shaved heads and sync to electronics. 

Synaptic Drift

Blues connect to ships using the Synaptic Drift, and DigiTats tattooed onto their bodies. Most colors cannot understand the empathetic connection minds make in the synaptic drift. A Blue's communication with their pilots in battle is nonverbal. Instead, it is formed of a web where the electric currents in their brains bond and interact with those of the others. Losing a connected pilot or ship was said to be the cruelest of amputations.

 A helmBlue appears to be the ship's captain, and comBlue is in charge of readouts. They were bred to withstand long and isolated journeys. As a result, they share everything, including food, sleeping quarters, friends, and lovers.

Trance

Blues don’t need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is “trance.”) While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that any color does from 8 hours of sleep.
