Astralspawn are a magical race of otherworldly grace, living in the world but not entirely a part of it. They live in places close to their location of landing. Astralspawn are a curious but intelligent sort who tend to have a basic understanding of most anything they have encountered at least once before

Astral Bodies

Astralspawn lack any semblance of facial features while their bodies appear to lack defined edges with any limbs overlayed on top of each other or the body appear to blend seamlessly together. Their bodies resemble window into the cosmos showing stars, galaxies, and other similar astrological entities 

Perplexing origins 

Astralspawn are born are born the moment a meteorite collides with the ground in an area of high magical concentration. Having no experience to act on prior to collision astralspawn take on the personality and mannerisms of the first creature they determine intelligent that they encounter including their alignment and the language(s) they speak

 Sentient Energy

Astralspawn are essentially beings of sentient energy making them prime targets for groups or individuals looking for concentrated potent energy. Most take this energy by force in a process that is lethal to Astralspawn even though most are willing to give up this energy willingly through focusing their energy to a single point.

Curious and Adaptive 

Astralspawn are naturally curious creatures who want to learn anything and everything about their surroundings. Due to this they are able to apply their knowledge to most situations and adapt accordingly.

Potent Rebirth

Astralspawn that where at a peak capacity of energy when they die have a chance to collapse in on themselves and implode in a violent flash of light. After the light fades a new astral born is in the place of the old one but begun anew

Astralspawn take the name of the first thing they have a concrete understanding of and can range from physical things like rabbit, blade, or red to concepts like war, fear, or death

The upper limit of an astralspawn’s age is unknown as most are exploited for their energy to the point of death or go into hiding

Elves range from under 5 to over 6 feet tall and have slender builds. Your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Darkvision

Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Magic born

You have proficiency in the arcana skill.

You have resistance to cold damage and you do not need to breathe

Energy focus

Astralspawn don’t need to sleep. Instead, you focus your energy for 6 hours a day. Focusing your energy this way requires intense concentration to perform effectively. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and a language of the first intelligent creature you encountered.
