Homebrew Wickerbeast Species Details

Wickerbeasts (or wickers if you don't have much time) are an old, humanoid and digitigrade species. They have a thick fur coat that ranges in many colors and patterns, which typically go along with their area of origin ( as in mountain = monotone colors, forest = greens and browns, etc.), though it is not uncommon for it to be completely random. Wickers have thicker, more dense fur surrounding their head, like how with humans have hair, and follow the same color tendencies as the rest of their fur, and they also have horns on either side of their head, and follow no pattern or trend with their area or genetics, and are completely unique to the creature. 

Wickerbeasts can range from 5'6" all the way to 7'. They tend to have stronger, more muscular builds than other races, and are quite agile. They have sharp claws at each fingertip, but can still easily hold weapons and other things. Wickers usually do not learn magics, mainly relying on their physical prowess, but are not incapable by any means of becoming powerful wizards, mages, or sorcerers. 

There are two variants other than the normal Wickerbeast;  Draconic Wickerbeasts, and Dwarf Wickerbeasts. Draconic wickers are a bit larger and stronger, and possess large wings that allow them to be fast and strong fliers, and have slightly larger claws, and generally have a breath attack ability. Dwarf wickers are much shorter than the normal wicker, but much stronger as well, and are much more developed muscular structures.

Athletic prowess

Become proficient in one physical skill (acrobatics, athletics, stealth, performance, intimidation, or animal handling).

Darkvision

Within 200 ft, can see in dim light as if it were bright light, and no light as if it were dim light. Cannot discern colors while in no light conditions.

Elemental Resistance

Gain resistance to an element relating to their place of origin. 

Replaced unarmed strike

Adds claw strike attack, removes unarmed strike.
