Playable version of the Zodar from Spelljammer: Adventures in Space.

Zodar Traits

Your character has certain traits deriving from unusual origin.

Obsidian Exoskeleton

You have a base Armor Class of 18, to which you do not add your Dexterity modifier.

Ability Score Increase

Your Strength score increases by 3, and your Constitution score increases by 2. Your dexterity score decreases by 3.

Age

The Zodar were created many thousands of years ago, and do not age.

Size

Zodar are much heavier than humans, weighing 1,500 pounds as a result of their obisidian exoskeleton and muscular build. Zodar are slightly taller than humans, at between 5 and a half and seven feet tall. Your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet, and you have a flying (hover) speed of 30 ft. Because of their immense weight, most Zodar typically hover a couple inches off the ground.

Blindsight

You have blindsight, the ability to see without eyes, to a distance of 120 feet. Beyond this distance, you cannot see.

Disembodied Voice

You can cause speech to issue from the air around you on three occasions in its lifetime. When you feel compelled to speak, you choose your words wisely. Up to three times in your life, you can cause a message of up to twenty-five words to issue from the air around you. You speak only when you have something profoundly important to say, and the message can be understood by any creature that has an Intelligence score of 2 or higher. You can decide how many times you have used this feature, keeping in mind that your species does not take speech lightly.

Unusual Nature

You do not require air, food, drink, or sleep.

Crushing Fist

All melee weapon attacks you make deal an additional 1d6 force damage. For Unarmed Strikes, this becomes 1d8.
