 "Golden Crown" or "King's Mushroom" is a remarkable fungus that possesses a sentient quality and hides within the shells of human skin. At first glance, it may appear as a simple brown cap, similar to those found on the forest floor. However, as it grows and matures, it transforms into a stunning, bright gold color that emanates an otherworldly glow. The color of its cap has been compared to the lustrous gold coins of Mammon or even believed to be a gift from the gods. However, both theories are untrue. This unique fungus comes from deep space, like all the terrible things that exist.

Initially, the Golden Crown acted as a parasitic organism, using its spores to latch onto humans and gain knowledge about the world. However, over time, it evolved into a peaceful being that no longer preyed on the living. Instead, it takes the bodies of the dead, sparing the living from its parasitic nature. 

As soon as the Golden Crown tried to establish contact with the human world, it was met with fear and disgust. People were horrified by its unusual appearance and behavior, calling it a 'body snatcher' and launching a relentless hunt to eradicate it. Through this hostile interaction, the Golden Crown uncovered its susceptibility to fire, which proved to be its ultimate weakness. To survive, it adapted by taking refuge inside hollow organs, where it continued to thrive undetected.

Although they are few and far between, a Golden Crown-controlled body can be identified by its unique response to threats. When threatened, the body's mycelium, which is a network of tiny filaments that runs throughout the body, illuminates in a brilliant golden hue. This glow is visible from underneath the skin, where the veins should be, and is a clear indication of the Golden Crown's presence. Despite the potential for negative consequences, such as resentment from the Golden Crown, this method remains the easiest way to identify a Golden Crown-controlled body.

The Golden Crown, an intriguing organism, possesses a unique and fascinating defense mechanism. When it's under attack, the Golden Crown can unleash a cloud of shimmering golden spores from the host's mouth. These spores have the capability to cling onto any living entity in the nearby vicinity. Once attached, the Golden Crown can enforce temporary control over them. It's worth noting that the spores have a short lifespan and will die off quickly without the presence of the mycelium.
