Homebrew Werwolf Species Details

A werewolf is a savage predator that can appear as a humanoid, as a wolf, or in a terrifying hybrid form—a furred and well-muscled humanoid body topped by a ravening wolf’s head.

Ability Score Increase

When determining your character’s ability scores, increase one score by 2 and increase a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. You can't raise any of your scores above 20.

Hybrid Form

Once per long rest, you can imbue yourself with the lycanthrope within you and shape change into your hybrid form. You can use a bonus action to do so and you receive the following effects while in this form: 

  • Natural Weapon: You gain the sharp claws of a Wolf. Your unarmed attacks make 1d6 slashing damage. 
  • Preditor's Sight: You gain Darkvision of 120 ft. 
  • Feline Agility: You can take the Dash Action as a bonus action. 
  • Natural Armor. While in your hybrid form, you gain a bonus of +2 to your AC, when not wearing armor. 

Wolf's Talent

You have proficiency in the Perception and Stealth skills.

Keen Senses

You have advantage on perception checks that rely on hearing and smelling. 

Languages

Your character can speak, read, and write Common and one other language that you and your DM agree is appropriate for the character. The Player’s Handbook offers a list of languages to choose from. The DM is free to modify that list for a campaign.
