Homebrew Demigod Species Details

Demigods are the children of gods. They are humanoid, and some could easily pass for a human. Their eyes usually glow a certain color (Depending on their parent), and they have a slightly echoing voice. They can fly around thanks to their godly abilities. They are medium in size. Extremely religious people who follow the demigod's parents can sense that they are the child of said god. Demigods do not need to follow their parent, and some are flat out non-religious. Of course, others follow their parent's teachings.

Demigod Traits

Demigods get their magical traits by being born by a god, either major or minor.

Relationship Level

There are 4 levels of relationship levels with your godly parent. It starts off at level 0. You increase your relationship level by either praying or interacting with your godly parent. Each time you do this, roll a d10. This is the amount of XP you get from that interaction. You must long rest before being able to roll the d10 to get more XP.

Level one: Your hands glow a soft yellow. XP needed: 10

Level two: Your voice echoes for a bit longer and is projected louder. XP needed: 20

Level three:  Whenever you fly, you leave behind a trail of soft mist that matches the color of your eyes. XP needed: 30

Level four: You are more noticeable as a godly being than usual; people who do not pray to your parent will still be able to figure out your godly origins with a perception check with a DC of 16. XP needed: 40

Bless Weapon

Twice per battle, as a bonus action you can bless your weapon with the powers from your parent. The next time you attack with a weapon, add a d4 (That adds one more d4 depending on your relationship level) to that attack and imbues the attack with Radiant if your parent is Good, Slicing if your parent is Neutral, and Necrotic if your parent is Evil.

Manifest Power

For an action on your turn, you can manifest your power to create a 20 foot blast around you that deals 1d8 + proficiency bonus + ability modifier of a stat of your choosing. You only have one charge of this, with one charge recovering every long rest.

Ability Score Increase

The player has the ability to increase one stat by two.
