Homebrew Altered Species Details

The Altered are a dark race of shape shifting creatures made by Ao thereself to serve as a catalyst to begin scourge and chaos among the known world. But the scourge and chaos wasnt meant to be born yet. So they await in slumber slowly gaining more power by the second until summoned by an unfortunate soul who dares to sell there eternal self to summon one. The altered do not care for anyone or any other race, not even eachother until Ao gives there command to begin the scourge. They are faithful and loyal to the creature who summons them. They are bound by the very creation they are born from, meaning the only bond a altered will ever have is with the creature who summoned them.

Ao is the creator of the cosmos and overgod of the Forgotten Realms. 

As a god among gods, he has authority over all other deities within his sphere of influence. As such, he can demote, permanently damage, or even kill the other gods and can bestow divinity upon mortals. He does not require the worship of mortals to sustain his power and is one of the supreme powers in D&D canon.

Shadow Walker

They can move, transport, and even melt and dissappear, vanish, and absorb into shadows around them like portals. 

shifter

they transform and can shift there body morphing it and shaping it into as they see fit. Growing and retracting wings, tails, fins, anything they see fit

Tough Skin

They have extremely durable and strong skin/armored scale/skin plating

Immortal

cant die from age, has to be killed 3 times to die permanently, or you kill there master who summoned them to banish them back to there home, or they die due to the binding contract with there master.

Chaotic Embrace

The master cuts themself and feeds the altered there blood to release there contract for a span of 1 hour. For 1 hour the altered isnt bound by the contract and there true power is released.

Soul devourer

After a kill, they gain +1 modifier to attacks they make gaining power
