Homebrew Tetramand Species Details
Stacked Red Muscle
Strong and imposing, Tetramands are rarely seen as more than warring brutes and walking tanks. They are feared by weaker species, and respected only by those that agree with their might makes right philosophy. Tetramand are a top-heavy humanoid race with 4 eyes, and 4 arms, each with a hand that has 4 fingers.
Tetramands tower over most species, standing from just under 7 to over 11 feet in height. Their dense musculature leads them to weigh between 350lbs and 500lbs on average. Women are typically recognizes as the stronger of the sexes, and are more likely to grow out their hair.
Tetramand have red skin that ranges from a deep merlot to a bright scarlet. Very rarely, a Tetramand may be born with bright blue skin, but such is considered undesirable for proud families. Their arms are adorned with spikes that face back, colored similarly to their rough hide-like skin, but considerably harder. A tetramand’s body is covered in either fine or thick hair, which may be more prominent on their head. The color of their hair covers the same range as humans, but is more prominently black. It is common for a tetramand to leave a majority of their skin exposed, especially if doing so shows off any scars they have gained in combat.
Ruthless Expansion
Despite expanding into the space age at a rabid pace, Tetramand are still seen as a primitive species. They are known as ruthless, aggressive warriors, fueled by a might makes right philosophy. Clinging to ideals of brutality and convention.
Though many tetramand have moved beyond the ideology of their people, the universe still thinks lowly of the species as a whole. Knowing that tetramand call a planet home is bound to make other species think less of the planet in question.
An individual tetramand will often seek out adventure and glory, either in hopes of proving themselves in combat, or in hopes of finding a worthy mate to continue their lineage. Indeed, a tetramand will only deem a suitor worthy if said suitor is able to best them in combat. Some Tetramand may journey off their world out of shame for having been bested by a member of their own sex, feeling the need to redeem themselves for what is seen socially as shameful and humiliating.
Others may try to improve the perception of their race, devoting themselves to doing good and preserving the cultures of other species. Tini of the Galacic Enforcers is regarded as an exemplar for the good her people could do with the proper upbringing. Many tetramand that have broken off from their homeworld’s society strive to live by her example.
Consistent across all tetramand is that once they are devoted to a cause, there is little that can dissuade them short of death. Changing their mind is a feat that most consider even more difficult than defeating them in combat. The only thing about them that’s singular is their focus.
