Homebrew Bovin Species Details

The Bovin are a relatively scattered people, with their people spread all across the lands. Some of them are in closer clusters together, while others live more spread apart. Descended from cows, evolved with the power of magic. The Bovin are a race heavily connected to magic, and the people in this race often use magic for various purposes. Even the ones who aren't, are still connected to the forces of magic. 

Gentle Giants

While they are not as large as the Minotaurs, they are still larger than average compared to humans. On average, Bovin can be 7 feet tall, and some can even reach heights of 9 feet tall. Their own physicality can vary, some Bovin are more muscular, while some are pudgier. Bovin have hooves for feet, and hooves that they can use for hands that have moveable fingers. They can have horns of varying sizes, as well as tails with varying sizes. Their faces often look more friendly, but there are rare Bovin who look more aggressive than others. 

Bovin fur colors can vary, and often have splotches of other colors on their fur. A common color is white with black splotches, while some can be brown with black splotches, some can be black, and some can have red fur. Their horns, hooves, and tails can have different colors as well. Some of them can even have hair or facial hair, and these can be many colors. Due to their connection with magic, their hair and their fur can be unnatural colors. 

Laidback Workers

The Bovin are extremely laidback creatures. Most prefer to help their community and the people near them by doing farming and other similar tasks, but some decide to be the guardians and protectors, and are likely to be willing to get violent. They like to relax and lounge out in the sun when they're not working. They're very friendly creatures, and most choose to avoid conflict if they can. They prefer to eat mainly plantlife, rather than meat. They are willing to eat the products of animals if they need to, but would prefer not to. 

They're not usually adventurers, but some of them do decide to venture outside of their own communities for varying reasons, some of which include seeking thrills and adventure. Most of them use magic to help them in every day life, and all of them have their own individual ways to use their magic. 

Accepted by Most

While there are a few that are prejudiced against them, the large majority of races and communities are very friendly towards them. Their laidback and friendly nature often lead to them winning the hearts of people who come across them. In communities other than their own, they are some of the first people to help if there is a problem or task they can handle.
