Homebrew Lopali( Deep Mothfolk) Species Details
These mothfolk were born and raised in either the Feydark or the Underdark, causing them to change due to their harsh environment. The story goes that as mysterious light started appearing from the Feydark, and the mothfolk followed it inside. For years the people that would end up in the Feydark were thought to be dead, but recently that has been proven false, as the Lopali(Deep Mothkin) crawled out to the surface.
The Lopali are generally depicted as unsocial and hard to know, do to their environment, however they are often very friendly towards other people. Their fur tends to be dark colored like maroon or forest green while their skin tends to be black or brown. Their wings have elaborate bioluminescent patterns that change color depending upon their mood, and they can control this to an extent , using them to communicate silently at a range among other things. Some villages of Lopali even have their social status based on their patterns and how elaborate and beautiful they are.
