Homebrew Áłchíní (Homo Transcendan) Species Details
A race option for the Autochthōn campaign setting, Áłchíní are the next evolution of the mortal sentients. Drawing on millions of years of genetic experience, the áłchíní mind and body has evolved with an intuitive understanding of the how the reality and the universe work, allowing áłchíní to adapt and take better advantage of their circumstances by using the fabric of reality to their advantage. Appearing almost exactly like their human evolutionary cousins, áłchíní have been able to easily blend into human-dominated communities. They tend to be lean and toned, and their perfected metabolism protects them from the effects of gluttony. (An áłchíní who does manage to gain weight will lose it within days.) Áłchíní eyes tend towards the lightest blues and greens, sparkly hazels, and amber browns. While áłchíní hair can be of the same colors as human hair, it tends to be of lighter shades, and some áłchíní are inclined to grow hair that appears as shimmering silver. The rarer áłchíní may have very-slightly pointed ears, but generally they appear as human ears.

Áłchíní Traits
When determining your character’s ability scores, increase one of those scores by 2 and increase a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. Follow this rule regardless of the method you use to determine the scores, such as rolling or point buy.
The “Quick Build” section for your character’s class offers suggestions on which scores to increase. You’re free to follow those suggestions or to ignore them. Whichever scores you decide to increase, none of the scores can be raised above 20.

Áłchíní reach adulthood in their early twenties and can live around 225 years.

Áłchíní can vary in height and build but tend to be slender and between 5 and 6 feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your walking speed is 30 feet.
Quantum Awareness.
You have a preternatural awareness of the connections between all things, allowing you to intuitively understand situations and increasing your situational awareness. You gain +2 to all perception and insight checks. Additionally, as a reaction, you can re-roll a failed saving throw.
Languages
Your character can speak, read, and write Common and two other languages that you and your DM agree is appropriate for the character.
Evogenesis
You are resistant to psychic damage. Continuing throughout your lifetime, you affect the expression of your genes, enhancing your adaptability, competence, and survival abilities.
Evogenesis Level 3
Gain expertise in 1 skill of your choice.
Evogenesis Level 6
Increase any ability score by 1, choose 1 feat of your choice, evolve clearsight.
Clearsight. You have developed a keen situational awareness and you have learned to discern the textual and hidden meanings behind words and body language. You have advantage on all Perception and Insight checks.
Evogenesis Level 13
Increase an ability score of your choice by 1.
Evogenesis Level 17
Increase any ability score by 1, evolve homeostasis.
Homeostasis. Through your evolution, you’ve become adept at synthesizing your own sustenance and augmenting your physique by tapping into the atomic energy present in your environment. You do not require food, water, or sleep to survive, and you can subtly change your body, at will, to appear up to twenty years older or younger. In addition, you benefit from a short rest as if it were a long rest and can manifest 50 temporary hit points once per day as a bonus action. Your body must still rest in order to recover. In order to receive the benefits of a long rest, you must dedicate at least 8 hours to minimal physical and mental inactivity.
