Homebrew Tontatta Species Details

Hidden away in forests for many years, Tontatta tribes are scattered about in any area that has forests or vegetation.  Sprinting about through the forest leaves at speeds faster than the eye can see, they scavenge food and other items from unwary travelers.

They are scouts and scavengers, their societies hidden where no eye can find them.  Primarily because they're so small.

 

Tailed Warriors

Tontatta are one of the smallest of all humanoid races, most standing just below 6 inches in height.  They weigh an average of 5 lbs, and most can be picked up in one hand.  They look much like tiny elves, with pointy ears and noses.  However, they also have furry tails extending from their tailbone the same color as their hair.  

The hair of the Tontatta can come in many different varieties, ranging from typical browns and blondes to white with bright orange spots.  Due to their small size, they can move their tiny legs very quickly, giving them great speed.  For unknown reasons, being this small also gives them great strength.

Forest Critters

Tontatta tribes have always lived in the forest.  They have the rumored ability to "grow anything," and in all accounts it's been proven true.  Tontatta tribes have different skills and recipes to grow special plants and other things.  Tontatta are at home in the forest, their extremely small size making most predators pass over them and their speed making gathering a cinch. 

Tontatta Tribes

The different Tontatta tribes don't have many distinguishing features except their location and the plants that they choose to grow.  Most different tribes make clothing out of the different plant fibers and other materials that they grow, most commonly cotton or other materials.  The different tribes also have typical "most common" hair colors, unique to the tribe itself.

Most Tontatta have human names, as they look up to them and try to mimic the actions of the "big-people" living nearby.  

Tontatta Traits

Tontatta are very fast and quick, but their small size is a major weakness, as how they can get stepped on and they will come very close to death. Take care in choosing this race, as it may prove challenging to stay alive.

Speed

Tontatta can move extremely quickly, and because of this you gain advantage and a +2 modifier on saves involving movement or Dexterity

Grow Anything

You gain Advantage on anything that requires Wisdom (Nature) or plants.

Thief

Due to your small size and mischievous nature, you gain the action to attempt to steal one of the foe's weapons.

Ability Score Increase

Your Dexterity increases by two, your Strength or Wisdom increases by one.

Tontatta can speak Common and one other language of your choice

Age

Tontatta reach maturity at late teens and live about 200 years

Alignment

Most Tontatta lean toward a Chaotic Good alignment, but the second most common is Chaotic Neutral.  The only reason a Tontatta would typically be Evil is if they were tricked into it.

Size

Tontatta stand at under 6 inches tall and weigh an average of 5 lbs.

Speed

Tontatta have a base walking speed of 25 feet, however they can use the Hyper action to increase that speed to 60, after which they become hidden for the remainder of their turn.

Gullible

Tontatta believe everyone is a good person, and therefore believe what most people say.  They're very easy to trick, which is why it's rather fun to play as them.
