Homebrew Cyclops Species Details
Be it in the peaks of tall mountains, or in the most unforgiving frozen tundra, this group of Cyclopes can be found in many different areas. A nomadic group of diplomatic yet battle-loving giants who will approach any situation with an open and kind heart that might explode into a maelstrom of rage and bloodlust at the slightest misstep.
Two sides of a coin
There are few things cyclopes love more than a quiet moment of peace and tranquility. They take any opportunity they can get to sit back and take in the scenery and get lost in the beauty and harmony of their surroundings, specially forests or vast, green hills.
But in the presence of battle and bloodshed, something primal awakes within them, turning them in to cold-blooded warriors filled with adrenaline and rage, who will rush into the fight and keep fighting until the enemy is reduced to nothing but a pile of blood and guts,
Explosive Temper
Cyclopes, as peaceful and kind as they might be, have a dangerously explosive temper towards provocation or direct insults to their own self or others the Cyclops might consider close to them. They are quick to go into a blind and destructive rage aimed and focused on the individual who dared provoke them, not satisfied with themselves until whoever got them into this state has each of their bones pulverized to a fine dust.
This blind rage can be stopped if any close-friend or partner to the Cyclops steps in to stop them, quelling their wrath and preventing them from escalating things further.
Nomadic Origins
Cyclopes are creatures with no one place they call their one home. These creatures spend a vast part of their life moving from one place to the other, learning about different cultures, meeting new people and adapting themselves o any environment they choose to stay in. Large groups may sometimes choose to settle in one location, making their homes out of the remains of large creatures they slay in the surrounding areas, so it is very common to see houses made out of giant skulls and bones, leather from creatures native to the area, and many other materials that can be obtained from their hunts for survival.
Cyclopes also choose to make their own clothing out of their hunts, stylizing it to fit their own unique sense of fashion with many different pieces and layers of clothing, multiple outfits to wear in different situations, making the fanciest outfits out of the most rare creatures.
Cyclops Names
Every Cyclops has two names: The first name is chosen by their father, and the last chosen by their mother.
Their first name can be whatever the father chooses, it could be either a combination of his and the mother's name, the name of their strongest ancestor, or the name of a beast they have slain previously, changed in subtle ways to be more unique
The last name is a combination of the two letters of the mother's own last name and the first two letters of the name of their current tribe, making it only 4 letters long, making for a rather simple last name.
Cyclops present both names when identifying themselves, in the order of last name and first name. When talking with people close to them they use their first name, and during in formal conversations or with strangers, they use their last name.
