Homebrew Bixie, The Banished Pixie Species Details

Pixies are a common sight among the various fey courts of the Feywilds, known for their trickery and mischievousness. Even forming tricksy deals with anyone whom they deem they might gain some entertainment from. Though, this is not always the case for the Pixie. As long ago a group of Pixies planned such a devious act of tomfoolery against the very queen of the feywild herself, Titania. It is storied that this prank was so well executed and provoked such hilarity to the detriment of Titania, that she grew so furious that she banished the Pixies who planned it to Faerun, the place where Pixies enacted most of their mischievous acts. 

These Pixies would be stripped of their ability to return to the Feywild at will and with that, over time they lost a modicum of their power, as well as their innate drive for chaos and tricks. Well, for the most part at least. Upon their banishment, these Pixies argued and feuded, eventually disbanding into smaller groups to explore their new home. Most settled in forests and areas of vast nature, while others in communities of established civilisations. Some even in high mountain peaks and in the depths of the ocean.

Over time, new pixies started to populated these communities, which are traditionally born spontaneously, magically come into existence. Though, now they are brought into life by the will of one or more Banished Pixies, known as Bixies. These Bixies would appear with features and traits akin to the local fauna, or sometimes flora that the communities inhabited. This phenomenon would be dubbed Fey Mutation by the Avian Bixie in later years. 

Now, in present day, small both in stature and numbers, Bixie communities of a myriad of varieties inhabit Faerun. Though some still worship Titania, hoping they will be allowed to return to the Feywilds, this is a long forgotten dream by most Bixie. Instead they lead ordinary lives, just like most other races of Faerun. And, where there are a race of people living ordinary lives, there also sprouts adventurers of these races. None more notable to the Bixie folk as Solar Shinylight, a proud and honourable Bixie, some who claim she is a  monk, others a cleric and some even a paladin devoted to Cannabis and good vibes. Aside from that, most Bixie adventurers dream to be as heroic and powerful as Saint SolarShinylight!

Age

Bixies live to around half a millennium.

Size

Bixies range from 6 to 9 inches tall. Your size is Tiny.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 10 feet.

Fey Ancestry

You gain advantage on saving throws made against being charmed and you cannot be magically put to sleep.

Shrink

You can touch an object that is sized for a Medium or Small creature and shrink it to a size appropriate for you. If the object is a weapon, decrease its damage dice by one size unless it has the finesse or light weapon properties (the versatile damage dice of that weapon also decreases). If it is a container, such as a backpack or coin purse, all objects inside shrink proportionately. You can have multiple objects shrunk at once but once the object leaves your person, its container or you die, it returns to its original size.

You have a flying speed of 30 feet and you can hover no more than 10 feet off the ground. If you are more than 10 feet off the ground when you end your turn you will fall until you are within the 10 feet of the ground.
