Homebrew Caynai Species Details

A nomadic race resembling anthropomorphic canines that rarely settles in one place for too long, preferring to travel in groups and set up camps in the wilderness or by nearby towns. Seen as a nuisance by some and trusted friends by others.

reaching maturity aged 6 and living for only 60 years they are a more short-lived race that aspires to live in the moment and make plenty of memories with and for those they care about. The caynai are very family orientated and greatly value their family and friends, but can be ruthless to those outside their circle if provoked or threatened.

Their height and general build can appear very different from Caynai to Caynai, ranging from as small as 3ft to as tall as 7, with their build being just as varied
 
In the past 200 Years a number of them have began to settle into civilisation for a more permanent residence. Such Caynai have began to develop more ''domestic'' physical traits compared to their ''wild'' counterparts. Leading to people developing stereotypes and bias towards the ''wild'' Caynai, despite the temperament of both being the same. That said, even ''domestic'' Caynai still retain the sense of wanderlust of their ''wild'' counterparts and it is a common coming-of-age ritual for domestic Caynai to travel the world, till they feel satisfied and settle down somewhere new. ''wild'' Caynai have a similar tradition, with fully matured individuals being encouraged to travel and find a new group to call home, though this is not enforced, with plenty remaining with their original group.

To a member of their race, their word is their law and if they make an agreement or promise, will try to uphold it as much as possible. possessing a strong sense of honour and pride.

Caynai's tend to overheat easily due to their fur and prefer to wear loose-fitting clothes, if much of anything at all. More extensive clothing being worn to make others comfortable or worn with a specific purpose in mind (protective clothing)
