Homebrew Woven Species Details
Woven are armors that have gained the ability to live by themselves as either light or medium armor. Ptah, the god of creation and creativity, wished to give lost armor a chance to experience the mortal plane by awakening the spirit inside them. As a trade off for gaining sentience, woven can take damage, feel pain, and even die if they take too much damage. Inside their armor, woven are pitch black in the face, with haze coming out of the seams. Some Woven wear long robes or clocks to blend in with their unique form, while others seek purpose as well as better armor sets. Woven cannot inhabit armor or clothes that already bare a soul; whether that soul is another woven or any other species. Most races are defensive against Woven, especially those that are not familiar with their existence.
Woven Traits
As a woven, these are the gifts bestowed upon you.Sentry Soul
Woven do not need to breathe or eat, but they can consume fluids like potions and alcohol. Woven do have to Sentry's rest when you need to take a short or long rest.
Transfer
Woven may leave their current armor for one that they have crafted for themself. If they do, their old armor is destroyed and can no longer be worn or sold. If they wish to transfer into armor that they have not made for themself, the Woven and the soul in the armor must agree to either move on from the mortal plane or form a pact with each other. (the original armor's soul has the same personality traits as the owners) they cannot have more than two pact souls in armor at one time. If they do leave a pact with another armor, that armor becomes a Woven themselves, instead of being destroyed. They cannot transfer armor when unconscious.

Can I store things inside of my armor?
The answer is yes, but like having a sword or coins inside of your torso, it is not at all comfortable, leading to making disadvantage for saving throws, being unable to concentrate, and halving your movement speed, unable to run.
Doesn’t corrode metal just kinda kill you?
As a woven, you and your armor are fused as one, making you a creature, but I will say warring non magical armor makes you weakened when trying to be corroded. Instead of instantly corroding.
How do you use healing potions or anything like that in general?
You would pour the potion into your armor, and the healing properties would be consumed by your awakened spirit, so you can’t reuse it and are indeed able to use potions.
Can a wizard use armor if you are this class?
Personally, I would not be opposed to it, but not all DMs have the same ideals, be sure to ask your DM before making the first wizard with 16 armor class, if not, feel free to make your woven a wizard's robe
When using transfer, are you fully healed?
Your physical wounds would be fully healed in that sense, but in order to recover spells or any skills that require a rest, you still need to use a sentry rest.
What happens if you die?
After failing all your saving throws, your woven spirit detaches from the armor, and the armor turns to scraps. To be revived, simply use the expensive spell on the scrapped armor.
