Homebrew Catols (Crabfolk) Species Details

Catols (or Crabfolk) are a nomadic race which originated from the ocean. One day they showed up on shores & tried to make peace but instead of being seen as friend or foe, they were seen as food. After a few years of being poatched by humans, elfs, etc. Many fled back into the ocean, no longer being able to face their hunters. The only leagacy they left behind is a few run down temples. Only a few hundreds stayed on the land, either fasinated with the land outside of the sea, or they were just oblivious to the slaughter of their people.

Underwater they're known for erecting grand cities underwater. Most Crabfolk societies are allies with merfolk and are often at war against Sahuagins & Dragon Turtles. Those on lands takes refuge in their old temples & swamps, they often stay away from Human & Elf settlements due to their history. They often burrow their homes underwater to avoid their hunters.
