This race was discovered later rather then sooner, Upon a further investigation of mysterious disappearances of civillians and adventurers, the first party sent after whatever it was vanished, the second and third too... well the third mostly disappeared, Two of the members were found dead in public areas, witnesses said that they had engaged a lady who seemed rather, like a statue and then a dust cloud had formed, the epic fight ensuing from where they couldn't see, Whatever it was and the woman disappearing after destroying the ground and the third search party, The fourth was wiser, Finding out what it was. it seemed like a pale angler fish, but it was a serpent, hence the nickname 'the pale angler', it used the woman as bait and lured people in, Eventually the fourth search party took it down, It's kind becoming known to the wider public
Discovery
when it was first found, They realised that the creature was highly intelligent, with hard scales while being high in strength, the ground trembling whenever it emerged and it being able to take over bodies and mimic the voice perfectly

Terrifying roar

A creature falls into a state of panic on failed save becoming frightened, when they roll five or below for this, they are paralyzed, with no effect on success. After you Roar, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
