Homebrew Auroira (Slime) Species Details
"It looks like another slime, whats the problem?" Vera said.
“Then why did your sword bounce off it?” Richard said.
“Well it has armor...”
"I am still here." said the Auroria
The Auroria are a rare race of beings that were originally similar to common Slimes until they were experimented on by a group of curious scientists, They were given cores which held energies capable of giving them their own mind but living with cores for so long has caused them to require them to live.
Formed from Slime and Armor
Auroria are formed from a blend of Slime and their Armor. These armors are shed and regrown and the appearance of armor can reflect the mind of an Auroria. For example a more aggressive Auroria's armor could be more spiked and rough. They normally look human but with the skin of a slime and the many colors they can take on. They have two sets of arms. Their base pair are affected by the armor but their second pair are positioned below the first pair and are too weak to carry weaponry or shields acting more as utility to them.
Auroria do not follow the normal standards for gender and instead will form their body at a young age to fit personality and wants, they can change features of their body but distinct features on the face never change always making them recognizable to people who remember its face.
Auroria Personality
They have a strict sense of honor at birth. Many live their lives in groups all trying to prove their worth to each other. Auroria will usually commit themselves to a singular life objective and are also Affable to other races who may not treat them the same.
Without a core an Auroria will slowly act more like a animal as they lose touch with their former selves becoming savage hunters for food that they don't need.
Cores
Auroria rely on an arcane crystal within their bodies to stay functional. These crystals are not specific to each person and can be swapped for others. These crystals can talk on many different shapes and colors but when separate from the Auroria they give off a smoke that conducts the energy around it. These core's are magic based and because of this are affected by anti magic fields. The connection to these Cores are also the reason some can control magic.
Auroria Names
Auroria give themselves simple names that they like to hear or stay un-named until they are given a name by someone else that they like the sound of.

Posted May 13, 2020"Your hardened claws increase the damage of your unarmed attacks by d6." I understand that it's proabbly 1d6 but it should still be specific.

Posted Feb 7, 2023This is a fun race to play, I don't think the 1d4 boost to charisma rolls is balanced though. I personally haven't been using it.
