Homebrew Verdon Species Details
A happy go lucky race that is not common but is a bit less rare than the Vernath. They generally slip under the radar of most and live lackadaisical fairly normal lives.

They often have the temperament one might imagine is held by dogs.Languages

+2 wisdom and +1 Charisma
Age
Same as that of a human.
Alignment
The Verdon are heavily emotional and as a result no matter what their alignment is they are heavily influenced by them when making their decisions. They tend to lean towards the “good” alignment but whether they are lawful or not varies.
Size
Same as that of a human.
Luck of the Damned
While they possess three luck points same as everyone else, they can only use them all at once or not at all. As a result they are frequently the victims of rather extreme and strange unlikely situation for better or worse.
Good With Animals
The Verdon are naturally adept at reading animals body language and understanding them.
The Nature of the Beast
When sufficiently emotionally provoked, usually in response to themselves and those they are loyal to being endangered (the dm will have you role for this via constitution), they can undergo a transformation into a beastly wolf which they must make a constitution save to come back from unless their other party members can successfully calm them down. They cannot transform at will. With this, generally it can be thought of as how dogs get when protecting their owners.
Lessened Aversion to Magic
They can use magic but are unable to wield magic items.
