Homebrew Beholderborn (Human) Species Details
You have to dream before your dreams can come true.
Usually when a beholder dreams, other beholders are created. Not this time, your character came into existance when a beholder dreamt with a Human for whatever reason. Perhaps the beholder had heard of stories of knights slaying dragons or perhaps they were worried about being attacked by adventurers. The beholder could dream about a perfect human or have some flaws, one fully grown or a young one to keep as a pet.
A Broad Spectrum
Pretty similar to humans at least in appearance. There is no typical human. An individual can stand from 5 feet to a little over 6 feet tall and weigh from 125 to 250 pounds. Human skin shades range from nearly black to very pale, and hair colors from black to blond (curly, kinky, or straight); males might sport facial hair that is sparse or thick. Depending on the dream of your beholder creator, you could have some physical characteristics that might differ from common humans. These beholderborns reach adulthood as the same as humans in their late teens and rarely live even a single century. However, they can born at any age, as a baby, a kid or even a fully grown adult.
Exemplars of Ambition
Humans who seek adventure are the most daring and ambitious members of a daring and ambitious race. They seek to earn glory in the eyes of their fellows by amassing power, wealth, and fame. If a normal human has ambition, one coming from a Beholder shows even more ambition (and might thini they are the most perfect being in the world).

You are both an abberation and humanoid, and you are elligeable for feats and magic items that have racial restrictions. Also, your abberant origin gives you some benifits: you have proficiency in perception and other skill of your choice.
Ability Score
One ability score of your increases by 2, and other one by 1. However, beholders tend to feel they are better than others, their creation has a flaw, you decrease one ability of your choice by 1.
Age and Size
Humans reach adulthood in their late teens and live less than a century. Humans vary widely in height and build, from barely 5 feet to well over 6 feet tall. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.
Innate Magic
You have some innate magic from your beholder heritage. You gain one cantrip of your choice.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and Deep Speech.
