Homebrew Velvet Room Attendant Species Details

Velvet Room Attendants are assistants in a hidden world of sorts known by many as the Velvet Room. Although the existence of such a place is believed by many, no one knows exactly how to get there, as it is seemingly without a planar gate, and is possibly somewhere outside of the planes similarly to the Far Realms.

Velvet Room Attendants are that bridge to the other world, and through them we can piece together what it's like and how it works. They are of unknown origin, and have no idea how, or why they have traveled to these planes, but they are determined to either make it back, or stop any evils lurking in their newfound home. 

Velvet Room Attendant Traits

Velvet Room Attendants acquire these racial traits.

Ability Score Increase

Due to their role as assistants to travelers, and their relations to a being called Igor by some, they have vast knowledge of many things. Your Wisdom and Intelligence scores increase by 2.

One-shot Kill

Once per short rest, you can sacrifice 15 hit points when attacking an enemy with a weapon, if you roll an 11 or higher on the attack role, it counts as a natural 20 critical hit and the damage is tripled.

Rebel's Guard

Once per short rest, if you take damage equal to or higher than half of your maximum hit points, you can activate this ability to lower the damage by half (round down).
