Homebrew Anduva'a Species Details

Through the use of powerful magic, the Anduva'a transform themselves into beings of pure arcane nature. They are naturally drawn to magic and transcend the traditional mortal being. The color and vibrancy of the Anduva'a is based on their alignement: Blue - good, Yellow - neutral, Red - evil.
Maker of your path
Anduva'a tend to adopt their previous lifestyle, nature and personality. However they learn to be beyond morals of a typical mortal, and have to create their own moral compass, which they use to navigate in society. Most Anduva'a end up settling as a hermit or solitary scholar, hiring only few trusted and liked individuals to assist them in the research and development of magic. Over the course of centuries, Anduva'a will be shaped by their actions. Most of them are good or neutral aligned, if perhaps a bit hardheaded in their conversational skills, kind at heart and eager to spread magic and give the gift of arcana to everyone who wants it.
Bright light
As a conveyor of magic, anduva'a are the most pure sources of raw arcana. Detect magic spell is confused by this and cannot ascertain the school of magic and a character with an Intelligence score below 20 is dazed for 10 minutes after using the detect magic spell around you for the first time.
Dark tone
The Anduva'a that choose to consume other anduva'a to prolong their lifespan, quickly learn the undertone of such cannibalism. Their alignment shifts to evil and the burden of their actions corrupts their mind. They become hungry for more and set out to find more anduva'a to consume them.
Anduva'a Traits
As Anduva'a, you gain the following racial benefits.Ability score increase
Your Strength score increases by 2, and your Constitution score increases by 1.
Age
Anduva'a are virtually unaffected by aging. Their form deteriorates over time however, if not fed magic, the Anduva'a disperses after 180 years of living. They are not born, but transformed, the age of the race before that does not affect the lifespan of an Anduva'a.
Alignment
Anduva'a are of any alignement, however, when transformed, they tend to adopt a new alignement.
Size
As a shapeshifting creature, the Anduva'a are considered medium creatures, however, during a long rest, the Anduva'a can change their appearance to a shape of humanoid race of medium size. Their ethereal look does not change however.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision
Thanks to your arcane nature, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Change Appearance
During a long rest, the Anduva'a can change it's appearance to one of medium humanoid races. They however still keep the ethereal form that they have, but the shape of their figure is adaptable to any race they choose. If no choice is made, they remain the same shape as night before.
Consume magic
To increase their lifespan, the Anduva'a can consume magic items, scrolls or other Anduva'a. As beings of arcane, their essence is similar to that of a magic item. You can take time, based on the complication of the magic item, scroll or being that you consume, and gain any number of years to your lifespan.

Rare/3-4/Level 13 - 30 years
Very rare/5-6/Level 16 - 40 years
Legendary/7-8/Level 18 - 50 years

You gain expertise with Arcana.
Languages
You can speak, read and write Common and one other language you adopt from your previous race. You can also speak one other language of your choice.
Magically attuned
At level 6, you're able to attune to 4 magic items at once. At level 12, you gain a 5th attunement slot and level 18, you master all 6 slots.
