Homebrew Demon Species Details

Former Celestials or Fallen Celestials, Demons are malevolent entities from the Abyss, embodying chaos, destruction, and corruption. They revel in the suffering of others and seek to spread fear and despair wherever they go. Demons typically have a fearsome and grotesque appearance that reflects their vile nature.

Physical Manifestations:

  • Appearance: Demons have twisted, monstrous forms that can vary widely. Common features include horns, fangs, claws, and leathery or scaly skin. Their eyes often glow with a sinister light, such as red, orange, or green, exuding malice and hatred.
  • Auras: Demons exude an aura of dread and fear, causing discomfort and terror in those who sense their presence. This aura can sometimes have physical effects, such as causing flames to flicker or shadows to deepen.
  • Limbs: Many demons have additional limbs or tails that can be used as weapons. Their bodies are often covered in spines, spikes, or other natural armaments.
  • Clothing: If demons wear clothing, it is usually made from dark, tattered materials, often adorned with symbols of chaos and destruction. Some may wear armor forged in the depths of the Abyss, imbued with dark magic.

**FOR DM CONSIDERATION: A player choosing to play a Demon must commit to doing "evil" deeds. At a DM's discretion, should the player commit "good" deeds, they may be raised as a Fallen Celestial or even a full Celestial. Rising is exponentially harder than falling.
