Homebrew Cheshire Cat Species Details
Cheshire Cats are cunning and mischievous races originating of corrupted humans.
When the World Tree was transported to the Feywilds, a bit of the energy from there was swapped in place of the Tree. This corrupted some humans and turned them into the cunning and mischievous Cheshire Cat race. They enjoy playing pranks upon those around them like a Jester would. In reality however, they're primarily playful with those around them and specifically the ones they decide to link to.
They might seem a bit insane but are they truly so?
Cheshire Cat Traits
Darkvision, Uncanny Invisibility, Fae Link, Sharp Claws, Deviously Cat-likeAbility Score Increase
Your Wisdom score increases by 2 and your Dexterity Score increases by 1
Darkvision
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Uncanny Invisibility
Three times per long rest, you can turn yourself or whatever they touch invisible as a bonus action and may dismiss it at will. Attacking, being charmed, frightened, stunned, set alight by fire, knocked unconscious or killed will cause the invisibility to end.
*Duration:* Up to 1 minute (Creatures) and Up to 1 hour (Objects)
Fey Link
Cheshire Cats choose loyalty, chaotic loyalty at that, but loyalty never the less. Cheshire Cats can create a bond with a creature which consents once per long rest. This creature can exchange messages mentally in secret back and forth so long as they are within 120 feet of each other. Additionally, while the Cheshire Cat has a link, they have advantage to being charmed, frightened or driven to madness.
Deviously Cat-like
You gain advantage on all Charisma (Persuasion) checks with humanoids and you gain proficiency in Stealth & Insight.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and Sylvan
Grimalkin Fighting
Being felines, Cheshire Cats use their dexterity rather than strength on unarmed attacks.
