Homebrew Cold Child Species Details

Extremely pale, child-like humanoid creature with rock solid cold skin that glimmers in sunlight and deep, unusual eye colours and fanged teeth.  Once puberty hits, these children stop growing no matter how old they get- possibly looking 15 while actually 119 year old. The colour of their eyes reflects the colour of their blood. Their diet is limited to raw foods and pure blood of any kind. They can travel faster than the average person and are advanced at hand-to-hand combat. If they were to bite someone it would not do lethal damage, however, it would burn the blood of their opponent (+1dc damage).

Cold Child Traits

It’s relatively easy to make generalizations about the Cold Children and your character has these traits.

Darkvision

You can see in dim light within 120 feet of yourself as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.

Skin Glimmer

The Cold Children's skin that glimmers and sparkles in brightly lit environments lessens their ability to sneak around leading to adding a -1 on stealth and sleight of hand rolls in said environments.

Strength

They have naturally advanced skills at hand-to-hand combat than the average person- adding +1 on strength rolls and +1d6 of damage if fighting unarmed.

Raw Diet

Cold Children only find nutrition via blood and raw foods leading to +1 exhaustion points when cooked food is consumed due to nausea.

Bite Attack

When attacking unarmed, they may choose to bite. These bites send non-lethal venomous poison through their opponents veins causing a severe burning pain and +1d6 to damage rolls.

Age

Cold Children reach full growth as soon as puberty hits them, leaving them to never grow as their age never stops increasing.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 40 feet.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice. Cold Children typically learn the languages of other peoples they deal with, including obscure dialects. They are fond of sprinkling their speech with words borrowed from other tongues: Orc curses, Elvish musical expressions, Dwarvish military phrases, and so on.
